Names and IFSC Codes of 1,300 SBI Branches Changed

Having merged 6 associate banks with itself, public sector bank, State Bank of India (SBI) has changed the names of as many as 1,300 branches along with their IFSC codes. The updated names and codes have been released for the public.
SBI merged Bhartiya Mahila Bank and 6 associate banks with itself on April 1, 2017, which increased its strength and ranking among other top banks across the globe. However, it also pushed it to add 71,000 new employees to its already existing workforce of 2 lakh.
Today, SBI has Rs. 33.45 lakh crores worth of assets and is ranked at 53rd position on the same parameter.
