Nearly 2,500 IITs Students Drop Out in 2 Years

This Thursday, the Rajya Sabha was informed by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD) that more than 2,400 students dropped out of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) in the last 2 years.

MHRD said that 2,461 students dropped out of the IITs that are 23 in total. It also said that 57% of them dropped out from IIT Kharagpur and IIT Delhi. The data also shows that 47.5% of the students belonged to SC, ST, and other backward class groups.
