New Govt Pushing Reforms in Telecom, 5G, Says TRAI Chief

R S Sharma, who is the chief of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) said that he is confident that the re-elected NDA government will focus on the implementation of the new telecom policy and roll out of the 5G technology. He said that he is observing a speedy implementation of various provisions of the National Digital Communications Policy (NCDP).
TRAI has been in favor of a review of license fees, universal service obligation levy, and spectrum usage charges to improve ease of doing business in the sector.
