NHAI to Raise Rs. 5,000 cr Via Bond Issues

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is planning to start its first retail bond in February 2018, a leading news agency said.
The authority is eying the retirement savings of the senior citizens and plans to raise as much as Rs. 5,000 crores, which it shall use for the Bharatmala highway construction project, a senior official said.
NHAI aims at raising Rs. 59,000 crores during the current financial year via bond issues, which also include the masala bonds.
