NITI Aayog ties up with Amazon to boost innovation
NITI Aayog, a federal policy think tank, announced on Thursday that it has partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Intel to establish a centre that will assist innovation and partnership among government agencies, start-ups, enterprises, and subject experts.

The centre, which will be housed at NITI Aayog’s headquarters in New Delhi, will demonstrate the possibilities of technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, augmented reality and virtual reality, blockchain, and robots in order to encourage their adoption.

According to a statement from NITI Aayog, this centre would stimulate open innovation and act as a nexus for government, healthcare, education, and non-profit start-ups to demonstrate their solutions.

The think tank also plans to use this hub to illustrate the use of various technology solutions in areas such as healthcare, agriculture, and smart infrastructure, according to the think tank.

Major homegrown industry leaders in their respective fields, such as MapMyIndia in geospatial solutions, Raphe mPhibr Pvt. Ltd. in unmanned aerial vehicles, and the Centre for Advanced Research in Imaging, Neuroscience, and Genomics (CARING), which provides artificial intelligence in healthcare as well as global leaders such as Dassault Systèmes, are demonstrating their solutions at this hub, according to NITI Aayog.
