Niti Aayog to Combine Strategy Paper with Vision Document

Niti Aayog has decided to combine its 7-year medium-term strategy paper with its 15-year vision document to devise a strategy for increased economic growth. According to Arvind Panagariya, Niti Aayog vice-chairman, the organization has received feedback from about 10 states on its 3-year action agenda draft and will be finalizing the same within the next 14 days.

The government think-tank has previously planned to release three documents instead: 15-year vision document, 7-year medium-term strategy paper, and a 3-year action agenda.

The 3-year action agenda calls for measures against complicated taxation system and tax evasion, etc. Other suggestions include empowering the public procurement system.
