No Electricity in 36% Schools in India, Says HRD Minister Ramesh Pokriyal

HRD minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said that around 36% of schools across the country still don’t have electricity connections. He gave the information through a written response in the Rajya Sabha when he said that 63.14% of schools in India have a power supply as per the Unified District Information System of Education (UDISE) report 2017-18. He said that the report says that 99.93% of schools in Delhi have power supply and all the schools in Nagar Haveli, Dadra, and Lakshadweep have electricity.
