Non-Payment of Dues May Cause Power Cuts in Three Southern States from Feb 9
NTPC Ltd. has issued notices to Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana regarding outstanding dues for more than 2 months and may start regulating the power supply for them from February 9 onwards. 

NPTC executives said that the company has total outstanding dues of a little over ₹7,800 crores from all states but Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, J&K are the biggest laggers. The dues from three southern states alone stand at ₹4,890 crores which is why the company will start regulating power to these states from February 9, they said.
