Not Going to Put Off GST Launch: Arun Jaitley

Saying that the Constitution doesn’t give the luxury of delaying the country’s biggest tax reform, Arun Jaitley dismissed the demands of deferring GST rollout. Although he didn’t deny that the GSTN has certain problems he said it will all work out with time.
Jaitley said that all the decisions on GST were made through consensus. Besides, he added, SGST bill has already been passed by the majority of state legislatures save for one or two.
Since September, GST council had conducted 17 meetings to make amends in the GST Model Law and finalize the system.
