Odisha Govt Considers Special Funds for State Startups

Odisha government is looking to set up a special fund to achieve the goal of establishing 1,000 startups by 2021. A source said that a committee has been created to come up with the modalities of creating funds for start-ups.

Although the funding needs of start-ups are met with the participation in the capital of venture funds with the fund of funds (FFS), investors have to make a minority investment in a company as well.

Startup Odisha has 443 start-ups today, out of which 138 are led by women entrepreneurs.
