Offline shops allowed sale of non-essential products

Offline shops are allowed to sell non-essential products whereas online platforms are not yet allowed to sell non-essential products. The home ministry has allowed the small shops in the neighborhood and can open their shops during the lockdown.

The note by the government was interpreted wrong by the e-commerce companies which was clarifies by the government that the e-commerce companies are only allowed to sell the essential products.

A spokesperson from the Home Ministry said, “Sales of non-essentials goods by e-commerce is prohibited and they can only sell essential items during the nationwide lockdown”.
