“One District One Product” Scheme to Create 25 Lakh Jobs in UP

President Ram Nath Kovind inaugurated “One District One Product” summit in Lucknow recently and said that the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are the backbone of the country’s economy. He said that this sector creates more jobs in rural and backward areas at low investments which is why it will play a huge role in the development of Uttar Pradesh.
Kovind said that under the scheme, the state government aims to generate employment for 25 lakh people in 5 years by offering financial assistance to the tune of Rs. 25,000 crores.
