Paytm raises $1b in latest funding round

Paytm which is a digital payments company raised around $1 billion in this year’s financing round.

The US asset manager T Rowe raised $1 billion, with existing investors who also participated that includes Softbank who raised about $200 million and Ant Financial about $400 million.

This is said to be the largest amount raised by the Indian startup this year.

This makes the company’s valuation to $16 billion and last year it’s value was $10 billion after raising $300 million from Warren Buffet’s s Berkshire Hathaway company.
