PharmaEasy acquires Medlife

PharmEasy has gained Medlife for an undisclosed sum, the e-pharmacy unicorn said on Tuesday. The deal will make PharmEasy the largest player in the homegrown online pharmacy sector, with the consolidated content set to serve 2 million clients every month.

“We began in 2015 determined to make affordable health care open to all, PharmEasy currently covers each and every pin code. With this, we expect to reach significantly more individuals across India. This makes us the biggest health care delivery platform in the country by a distance serving in excess of 2 million families every month,” wrote Dhaval Shah, co-founder of PharmEasy, on Linkedin.

The deal values the stake of Medlife investors at $250 million, said an individual near the turn of events. This acquisition spells the end of Medlife as a brand.

“While we love the Medlife brand we accept a singular focus on shopper needs, through a solitary platform ‘Pharmeasy’, will help cater them much better”, he added.
