Private Equity Investment in Real Estate Doubles to 1.2 bn USD in 2017-18, Says ANAROCK

According to property consultant ANAROCK, around 1.2 billion USD worth of private equity investments were made in the real estate sector during 2017 and 2018 which is twice the amount that was injected in the previous two years.
The consultant said that one of the main reasons behind the jump is the easing of FDI policies such as 100% FDI in single-brand retailers via the automatic route. It also said that the popular cities for the investment include Indore, Ahmedabad, Amritsar, and Chandigarh.
