Punjab National Bank launches 6S campaigns

The Government of India has launched “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” for different effort exercises on financial services, with the focal theme of ‘Janta Se Jodna’.
In accordance with the over Government’s drive, Punjab National Bank, as the country’s second-biggest Public Sector Bank, has launched a “6S Campaign” encapsulating various plans, for example, Swabhiman, Samruddhi, Sampark and Shikhar, Sankalp and Swagat. The goal is to drive a special awareness campaign for the development of financial services in the nation and to speed up credit growth, improve penetration of social security schemes and drive digital banking push.
Through Swabhimaan, the Bank plans to forcefully push the financial inclusion agenda by extending the entrance of the three Jan Suraksha or Social Security Schemes relating to the protection and pension sector namely, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Yojana, and Atal Pension Yojana. PNB plans to leverage its extensive physical footprint in rural areas, through branches and banking correspondents.
Under the Samruddhi plot, Bank expects to drive credit outreach for the agriculture sector which is the foundation of the Indian economy.
