RBI Appoints 3 New Members for Oversight Committee
June 28, 2017
The Reserve Bank of India has roped in three new members for its Oversight Committee that will help to resolve the bad loans problems that are acting as a major hindrance for the banking sector in the country.
As per a recent RBI statement, the new 5-member panel will be chaired by the former chief vigilance commissioner Pradeep Kumar and work through multiple benches.
This addition of the new members is linked to the declaration of the Banking Regulation (Amendment) Ordinance, 2017 a few weeks ago.
