RBI Emphasizes Banks Have CTOs, CFOs Considering Changing Banking Sector

RBI has urged the banks to appoint senior executives to handle their technology and finance departments. The Central bank has also released the minimum qualifications for the Chief Technology Officers and Chief Financial Officers.
In a recent notification, RBI said that considering how banking and technology are rapidly growing and going through innovations it’s important that banks ensure proper governance in those.
For the post of CFOs RBI has recommended Chartered Accountant and experience of 15 years as the minimum qualification. While for the post of CTO it’s a degree in engineering or equivalent and experience of 15 years in the relevant domain.
