RBI launches MANI App for visually challenged people

The Reserve Bank of India has launched an app called “MANI” to help visually challenged people know the denominations of currency notes.

It’s a note identifier app that was launched by RBI Governor on January 1, 2020.

MANI is an acronym for Mobile Aided Note Identifier and once installed it will work offline as well.

RBI launched this app after reports said that visually challenged people face problems while identifying the currency denominations and it wished to solve this problem.
