Retail Credit to Grow 16%-18% with NBFCs: ICRA

As per a recent ICRA report, the retail credit growth with the Non-Banking Financial Companies during the financial year 2017-18 is expected to go as high at 16-18% mainly because of select asset classes including SME credit, etc.

ICRA also said that as more entities continue to enter the unsecured consumer credit market, the overall share of NBFSs will expand further. In addition to that, the sector will observe a higher number of cases involving 90+ day delinquencies, the settlement rate of which will up by 0.5% to 5.5% in March 2018 from the 5% in September.
