Rs. 7,000 cr Worth of Water Projects Approved in Maharashtra
In a bid to complete several drinking projects in scarcity-hit areas in Maharashtra, the state government has given a nod to projects worth Rs. 7,000 crores, water supply and sanitation minister Babanrao Lonikar said. 

Lonikar said that the government is committed to providing water to villages that are completely dry, further adding that around Rs. 7,952 crores worth of funds have been approved for 6,624 such projects in 10,583 villages under the National Rural Drinking Water Scheme.
