SAMRIDH programme launched to boost star-up ecosystem

To boost the country’s startup ecosystem, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) launched MeitY’s Startup Accelerator (SAMRIDH) for product innovation, development and growth on Wednesday.

With the launch of the SAMRIDH scheme, Minister of Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw said the drive would help start-ups, yet additionally set up a range of skill set to help them succeed.

Reiterating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, Weishnau said technology and youth energy are great potential sources of energy for inclusive development.

The minister also said that our general public today needs numerous initiatives, new products and new services that make better day to day routines for those living in remote areas and at the bottom of the marginalized parts of society. There are countries where mainstream development has avoided them.

“This technology can play a role in accelerating and making breakthroughs in reaching out the individuals who might have taken years. Using the energy of start-ups, these areas can be reached within a couple of months. Is our government’s stated mission and furthermore the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Initiatives and schemes like SAMRIDH are to accelerate the implementation of that vision, he said”.
