SBI Chairman Arundhati Bhattacharya’s “Small” Salary in Talks

State Bank of India may be one of 50 largest banks around the world but it pays its top management just a fraction of what other lenders provide to theirs. As per the reports, SBI chairman Arundhati Bhattacharya received a net annual payout of Rs. 28.96 lac in the last financial year. In contrast, Axis Bank’s MD and CEO Shikha Sharma took home a basic salary of Rs. 2.7 crore along with additional perks. Similarly, ICICI Bank’s MD and CEO Chanda Kochhar was issued a basic salary of Rs. 2.66 crore and an additional 2.2 crore in the form of performance bonus.
