SBI to Offer Special Bereavement Leave to Employees

Public sector State Bank of India has decided to offer a one-week paid leave to its employees on the loss of their family members to make their bereavement slightly easier to cope with.
Prashant Kumar, Managing Director SBI said that the lender has also decided to offer a 75% subsidy on mediclaim premium for the retired employees earning pension up to Rs 20,000, and 60% for those earning a pension ranging between Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 30,000. In addition to that, the mediclaim cover provided to the families of the employees has been expanded to 100% from the current 75%.
