Sebi to relax norms for investing in firms

Investors are ready to invest large amounts in the companies which are facing problems during the nationwide lockdown. If the proposal in a regulatory discussion reaches the final stage, it will be easier for the investors.
Currently, investors are buying more than 26% in any indexed business enterprise need to make a public offer for all shareholders, a further financial liability for them.
The discussion paper floated by using the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) sought remarks on whether or not the open offer may be waived for pressured organizations and whether preferential stocks can be offered at the average of simply two weeks share price.
