Secure Cloud Services Essential for Cybersecurity, SBI Says

To tackle the security threats that are putting the finance and banking industry at risk, a standard security infrastructure is essential for which incorporating secure cloud services is the way to go, a senior SBI executive said.

To prepare for looming cyber frauds, the State Bank of India has deployed a robust security system that covers data dictionary, master-data management policy, security coding practices, etc.

According to Mrutyunjay Mahapatra, Chief Information Officer (CIO), SBI, non-standard coding practices and infrastructure often lead to vulnerabilities. He also said that SBI has asked its partner Oracle to achieve its security goals, and will also be the first one to use Oracle Cloud Machine.
