Security Company Sisa Alerts Banks Over Payment Server Breach

Payment security company Sisa has alerted all banks and payment processing firms about a malware that’s been injected into the payment switch service of an undisclosed bank by a hacker group.

With regard to the cyber attack, the firm has advised the banks to reset the passwords of their employees and activate two-step verification for payment servers access.

A Sisa spokesperson said that the identified malware is capable of extracting payment card data and use it for conducting unauthorized transactions.

It’s not confirmed yet whether the bank or card accounts of the customers have been compromised.
