Single window system launched for ease of doing business
September 23, 2021
The government on Wednesday launched the much-awaited national single-window system for investors and organizations. The portal will integrate the existing clearance system of the Center and states.
Business and industry serve Piyush Goyal said the single-window portal will turn into a “one stop shop” for approval and clearances. It will enable obtaining approvals just as clearances required by investors, entrepreneurs, and organizations in India. “The portal, starting today (Wednesday), has approved across 18 central departments and nine states. Another 14 central departments and five states will be added by December 2021,” Goyal said.
“This is big step towards from bureaucracy and from windows within windows. This is a big step towards simplicity of working together. No one needs to be a detriment to doing business. This won’t just enable simplicity of working together, yet in addition ease of living. This is a result of the requirement for a single window of contact among businesses and the government,” Goyal said at the soft launch of the portal.
