Solar, Wind Energy to be Preferred Sources in India by 2030: Report
A new report by Energy Transition Commission (ETC) said that that renewable sources of energy will become the preferred sources by 2030 as the tariffs for wind and solar power will drop to a modest ₹1.9  to ₹2.6 per unit and storage costs will lower as much as 70%. 

The report said that the cost of solar power and wind power will be around 1.9-2.3 ₹/kWh and 2.3-2.6 ₹/kWh respectively. It also said that the flexibility of the electricity system should be considered with urgency if we are to transition to renewables.
