States’ GST Increased to ₹5.18 Lakh cr in FY19

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that the GST collection of states and UTs during the financial year 2018-19 increased to ₹5.18 lakh crores against the ₹2.91 lakh crores collection during the nine months of the financial year 2017-18. She also said that the central government has disbursed around ₹81,177 crores worth of funds as compensation for the states during FY19 against ₹48,178 crores worth of funds during July-March period of FY18.
