Swiggy aims to reach 600 cities by 2020

Swiggy, an Indian Foodtech Unicorn is all set to reach 600 cities by 2020.
Right now, Swiggy has acquired its delivery locations to 500 cities. It aims to reach 100 cities in 3 months.
The Chief Operating Officer of Swiggy said, “As we work towards enabling this for a billion Indians, expanding to Tier 3 and 4 cities is a critical step. Our steady expansion in these cities has shown that there is a growing need for quality food, convenience, and accessibility in smaller towns.”
Swiggy became the fastest growing unicorn in 2018, plus raked 1 billion dollars in funding just after launching in 2014.
It has many plans further for its customers and looking to expand its technology and offer Swiggy stores and Swiggy Go on-demand delivery services.
