Tamil Nadu Top Beneficiary of Weaver Mudra Scheme at Rs. 900 cr

Minister of Handlooms and Textiles O S Manian said that Tamil Nadu holds the top position in the implementation of “Weaver Mudra Scheme”.
Although the target was to cover 15,000 handloom weavers in the state during the financial year 2017-18, the actual number of Mudra loans disbursed were much higher at 18,488 and the total amount released Rs. 901.2 million.
