Tata Power Focusing on Clean Energy Now, Won’t Set up New Coal Plants

Tata Power is looking to focus more on renewable energy creation and won’t construct any new coal-fired power plants. This was clarified in the ‘Tata Power: Renewables to Power Growth’ report that was released by Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA) today.
Simon Nicholas, who is Energy Finance Analyst at IEEFA said that Tata Power’s ‘Strategic Intent 2025′ plan aims at expanding power capacity through the wind, hydro, and solar by up to 70%.
