Tens of Thousands of Apps Suspended by Facebook in Privacy Review

Social media giant Facebook said that it’s suspended “tens of thousands” of apps on its platform in light of its review of current privacy practices. The move was made after realizing the effects of Cambridge Analytica scandal.

Facebook has been facing a lot of scrutinies after it admitted in 2018 that Cambridge Analytica misappropriated personal data of millions of its users with regard to Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.
