This IIT Professor has a Simple Solution for Fake News on WhatsApp

As the union government in India is losing the battle against fake news on social media and messaging platforms like WhatsApp, a professor at IIT Madras has become up with an idea which he thinks can solve the problem of fake news in the country.
V Kamakoti, who is a professor at the Department of CSE and also a member of National Security Advisory Board under PMO, said that to combat fake news, a change can be implemented under which the contact number of the person who originates a WhatsApp message is sent along with the message.
