Trump to Modi: India Must Reduce Obstructions to US Exports

During the meeting of US President Donald Trump with Indian PM Narendra Modi, he said that India must reduce the obstacles that are coming in the way to US exports, albeit he thanked him (Modi) for his US-made purchases. Trump said that both countries have a “fair and reciprocal” trading relationship and so it’s important that obstructions are removed from the path of US exports.

Modi stepped on the American soil with an extensive shopping list that contained fighter jets, predator drones, and more. As he talked with Trump he also tried to convince him to keep the H-1B visa program operational that holds great significance for the Indian IT executives who want to work in the US-based companies.
