Twitter working on paid subscription model

Twitter is chipping away at a paid membership model and now, application researcher Jane Manchun Wong has found the service will be called Twitter Blue, costing $2.99 (over ₹200) every month.

“Twitter Blue” will incorporate a ‘Fix Tweets’ component and bookmark collections.

“Twitter is calling their impending Subscription Service “Twitter Blue”, evaluated at $2.99/month for the time being, including paid features,” she said in a tweet on Saturday.

As per her, apparently Twitter is chipping away at a layered membership model, which implies a less-cluttered, premium experience for the subscribers.

“Twitter is chipping working on Bookmark Collections, also known as the ‘folders in bookmark’ that loads of people have asked for,” Wong said.

Recently, Twitter acquired Scroll, the $5-per-month subscription service that removes advertisements from websites that participate.
