UP Govt, IIT Kanpur Sign Pact for Bundelkhand Defence Corridor Centre

In a bid to set up a Centre of Excellence for the Bundelkhand Defence Corridor, the state government of Uttar Pradesh has joined hands with IIT Kanpur. Under this partnership, an investment of INR 3.65 billion will be contributed by both entities.
The Bundelkhand Defence Corridor was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 21 at the UP Investors’ Summit. Later on, IIT Kanpur came up with the idea of establishing a centre that can help with manufacturing processes in the defence sector.
