UP Govt Includes 1,000-Acre Mega Electronics City in ₹200 bn Plan
The Uttar Pradesh government is looking to set up an Electronics City in an area covering 1,000 acres in the National Capital Region (NCR). Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered the state IT and electronics department to create a proposal on the same on an urgent basis.

The proposed Electronics City will come under the jurisdiction of Yamuna Expressway Authority and boost UP’s image as the electronics manufacturing hub of India.  It’s a part of the ESDM (Electronic System Design & Manufacturing) scheme which already has an approved funding of ₹200 billion and aims to generate a whopping 300,000 jobs in the state in the next 5 years.
