UP to Issue New Industrial Policy in Few Weeks; 24X7 Power Supply, Tax Relief on Agenda

BJP government in Uttar Pradesh is planning to release its new industrial policy in “2-4 weeks” with some of its key highlights being tax relief, ease of doing business, and continuous power supply. Satish Mahana, Industries Minister of the state, said that they are planning to launch the policy by June 26. When asked about the key highlights of the policy he said it would be a continuous power supply for the industry. He said that the government is planning to give open access to the industry under which they can purchase power from private companies- a provision that didn’t exist in the state until now.
