Uttar Pradesh to Get Maximum Benefits from GST

Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik, who inaugurated ‘Digital Transformation & GST Summit 2017’ seminar deemed GST as a modern “Amrit” and said it will yield high economic benefits. National Technology Officer Prashant Shukla also said that more than 1000 workshops have already been held in the state for tax department officials and traders.
According to UP finance minister Rajesh Agarwal, while GST is no less than a boon for the country, it’s Uttar Pradesh that will benefit the most as it’s mainly a consumer state of 22 crore people.
