Wait till 2018-End to See the Real Impact of Demonetization: Pronab Sen

Although the GDP data for 2016-27 shows that demonization has had a negative impact on the Indian economy, it’s expected that the unorganized sector was the worst hit, says Pronab Sen, former chief statistician.
According to Sen, there is no consideration of the demonetization’s impact on the unorganized sector in the calculation of the 7.1% GDP figure although it’s affected the most. However, since the estimates on the sector will not come out until 2018-end, demonetization would be a thing of the past by then.
