West Bengal Announces ₹1 lakh for 50,000 Unemployed

This Monday, the West Bengal government announced the budget and promised financial aid of ₹1 lakh to 50,000 jobless youth across the state that can help them to get self-employment. In addition to that,it said that it has created over 900,000 jobs in the financial year 2018-19.
West Bengal’s Finance Minister Amit Mitra presented the budget and said that the state exceeded the target for tax collection for FY19 by almost 9%. He also said that the budgetary allocation for FY20 has been hiked by 11% to ₹237,964 crores.
