West Bengal Receives Rs. 17,000 cr Worth of Investment Proposals

On the first day of Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS), the state received investment proposals of a combined amount of Rs. 17,000 crores.

While the JSW Group MD and Chairman Sajjan Jindal said the state will receive investments worth Rs. 10,000 crore in steel, paints, and power throughout the next 3-4 years, Reliance Industries chief Mukesh Ambani also announced an investment of Rs. 5,000 crores in petroleum outlets as well as retail sector.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said, “West Bengal is the investment destination now,” adding that the state is liberally spending on the physical and social infrastructure.
