The president of the Forum For People’s collective Efforts Abhay Uphadyay said that it’s disturbing that West Bengal is the only state in India to roll out a separate act after the RERA act was launched across the nation. In that regard, a central team will visit the state shortly, he said.

Uphadyay said that they fail to understand why the state felt the need to release its own act even though RERA was issued for all the states. To convince them for a switch, a 4-member sub-committee of Central Advisory Council (CAC) will visit the state officials shortly, he added.
