WhatsApp introduces new feature to make payments
WhatsApp has introduced the rupee image ‘ ₹’ in its chat composer to help Indian clients make seamless payments through the messaging service.

WhatsApp unveiled the symbol at the Global FinTech Festival (GFF) 2021 and added that it has additionally added a speedy reaction (QR) scanning support to its camera icon on the message composer page.

“We accept genuine incorporation is when clients don’t need to navigate their way through their phone to make payment. An arrival point is when payments just “fit” into a client’s intrinsic behavior. Countless clients send WhatsApp messages each day; spend numerous minutes on WhatsApp, take and send pictures. We need to make sending money as simple and improved as sending a message,” said Manesh Mahatme, chief installments, WhatsApp India.

With the most recent updates, WhatsApp hopes to make payments more comprehensive and natural as clients would now be able to send money using two of the most iconic and recognizable symbols all within the WhatsApp chat composer, the organization said in a statement. Both the features are expected to be rolled out within the next few weeks.
