Women in India Earn 16% Less Than Men, Says Report

Shedding light on the concerning gender pay-gap in India, a recent Korn Ferry report says that Women in India earn 16.1% less salary than men. This is mainly contributed to fewer women in the top-paying jobs.
The report said that in India, the pay-gap between men and women for the same job is around 4% although globally it’s only 1.4%.
The gender pay-gap in India is higher than several growing economies including China where it’s only 12.1%. However, it’s still less than US, UK, Germany, and Brazil, where the pay-gap stands at 17.6%, 23.8%, 16.8% and a whopping 26.2% respectively.
