World Bank Sanctions $250 Million Loan for Skill India Training Program

World Bank has approved a mega loan of USD 250 million to train the Indian youth and equip them with necessary skills for better employability. The move is expected to support the Skill India program and help the government in its youth reskilling efforts.

As per the bank’s statement, the Skill India Mission Operation (SIMO) will provide skill training to people of ages between 15-59 irrespective of their employment status. It will also cover more than 1 crore youngsters of ages between 15-29 years who will join the labor sector.
