World’s Largest Amazon Campus Inaugurated in Hyderabad

This Wednesday, Amazon inaugurated its newest campus, the largest in the world, in Hyderabad. The establishment that houses around 15,000 work points in 1.8 million sq. ft. office space is spread over 9.5 acres of land and has 2.5 times more steel than Eiffel Tower. It will also provide employment to over 15,000 people in the country.
John Schoettler, Amazon Vice President of Global Real Estate and Facilities, said that the company has 8 buildings in Hyderabad with 4 million sq. ft. of office space and some of the employees in these facilities might be transferred to the new facility. He also said that the new campus is the only Amazon-owned campus outside the US.
