You May Need to Wait 3 Months to Get Hands on 200 Rs. Notes

Although the Reserve Bank of India issued Rs. 200 notes a week ago, they won’t be available at the ATMs for up to 3 months due to the recalibration exercise that’s underway.
While some banks have asked the ATM companies to test the new Rs. 200 for calibration purposes, the supply of the notes is short even with them.
RBI, on the other hand, has announced that it will increase the supply of Rs. 200 notes soon, although without giving any concrete time-frame.
